Inline Polls for Retrospective Items
Let your whole team create polls, right where the conversation is happening. Anyone can now add a poll directly to their retrospective feedback item, turning static comments into interactive discussions without needing admin access.
What's New
Polls on Any Retrospective Item
Previously, only meeting admins could create polls, and they lived in a separate Polls section. Now any participant can attach a poll directly to their feedback item. See a topic that needs a quick team decision? Add a poll right there.
Anyone can create: No need to be the meeting creator or admin. If you added the item, you can add a poll to it
Contextual placement: Polls live right on the item they're about, not in a separate section
Same poll features: Public or anonymous voting, custom options, emoji support, real-time results
Turn Feedback Into Decisions
A retro item like "we need to look at deployment issues on Fridays" is useful. That same item with a poll asking "When should we schedule the deployment review?" with time options is actionable. Inline polls let your team move from observation to decision in the same place.
Better Signal for Facilitators
When polls are scattered in a separate section, it's hard to connect them back to the conversation they came from. Inline polls keep the context tight. The facilitator can see exactly which discussion prompted the poll and how the team voted, all without jumping between sections.
Why It Matters
Retrospectives work best when everyone feels ownership over the discussion. Limiting poll creation to admins created an unnecessary bottleneck. Someone raises an interesting point, wants to gauge the room, and has to ask the facilitator to create a poll on their behalf. That breaks the flow.
Now the person closest to the topic can create the poll themselves. The team member who flagged the deployment issue can immediately ask the team how they want to handle it. The person who suggested a new standup format can poll for preferences right on their card. Less waiting, more doing.
Available now for all retrospective meetings.
