Custom Jira Fields for Planning Poker

See the full ticket without clicking around. The new side panel displays complete round details alongside your voting cards, and you can now pull custom Jira fields straight into your cards so your team has everything they need to estimate accurately.

What's New

Persistent Side Panel

The current round details are now always visible in a side panel, so you don't need to click into the round to see what you're voting on. Description, acceptance criteria, assignee, priority, due date, status—it's all right there while you vote.

  • Full ticket context at a glance: All round details display in a dedicated side panel alongside the voting cards

  • No more clicking back and forth: Previously you had to open the round to see the full details. Now they stay visible the whole time

  • Works with imported tickets: If you've imported from Jira, Linear, Azure DevOps, or GitHub, the side panel shows everything that came across

Custom Jira Fields

On the Jira integration, you can now choose which custom fields to import. Select fields like Acceptance Criteria, Definition of Done, Story Points, or any custom field you've set up in Jira, and we'll display them on the card.

  • Pick the fields that matter: In the Jira integration settings, select any custom fields you want to see. Text fields, user fields, arrays, dates—whatever your team uses

  • Automatically displayed on cards: Selected fields show up on the round card and in the side panel, no extra config needed

  • Support for standard and custom fields: Works with built-in Jira fields and any custom fields your team has added

Why It Matters

Planning poker breaks down when people are estimating tickets they don't fully understand. You've probably been in a session where someone asks "wait, what's the acceptance criteria on this one?" and the facilitator has to open Jira in another tab to find it. Multiply that by 20 tickets and the meeting drags.

The side panel keeps everything visible while voting, so the question never has to be asked. And with custom Jira fields, your team sees whatever your organization has deemed important—definition of done, design links, QA notes—without leaving the session.

This was one of the most requested features from teams running Jira integration. You wanted the context, we gave you the context.

Available now for all planning poker sessions. Configure your Jira integration from the space settings to pick which fields to import.
